Sweet Disposition
Synopsis
Amine and his friends can't go back to high school unless they bring their fathers to the principal's office. Amine is deeply ashamed of his dad, so he wanders the streets looking for a fifty-year old man who can take his place.

Director’s statement
My fondness for anti-heroes led me naturally to the character of Amine, a teenager who tells lies as easily as he breathes. The self-image he projects to his new-found friends gently disintegrates throughout the film. By depicting lies—which are both cinematic and political to me—the film explores my favourite themes: the father-son relationship, social fracture, and shame.
Amine's journey is built as a story of escape from a reality he finds unbearable—a reality that catches up with him when his father starts showing signs of a strange and monstrous illness: a new disease of the poor that tends to deform the body. Sweet Disposition plays between film genres: fantastical elements break into the realistic aesthetics of the film, which feature as a visual leitmotif a city constantly in construction, in mutation.
Biographies
Youssef Michraf was born and raised in Casablanca. After high school, he moved to France and completed his bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Audiovisual Studies at the Sorbonne. Shortly thereafter, he was accepted to the four-year programme in Directing at La Fémis. His short films have been screened at numerous festivals, including the Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur and the Durban International Film Festival. He is currently developing his feature-length film debut, Sweet Disposition.
After graduating from the ESSEC International Business School and La Fémis, Jean-Christophe Reymond founded Kazak Productions in 2007. Amaury Ovise joined him in 2011. They have produced fourteen feature films by directors whose short films they previously produced. In addition, they have produced more than forty-five short films and two web series. They support a generation of emerging auteurs who deal with contemporary subjects in a wide variety of genres and formats. Among others, Reymond had produced films by Julia Ducournau, Manele Labidi, Clément Cogitore, Nicolas Silhol and Teddy Lussi-Modeste. In 2021, Ducournau’s Titane won the Palme d'Or at the Festival de Cannes.
