Myriam Sassine joined the Lebanese production company Abbout Productions in 2010. Notable production credits include Oualid Mouannes’s 1982 (TIFF 2019) and Mounia Akl’s Costa Brava, Lebanon (Official selection of the Venice Film Festival 2021). Sassine has also produced several feature-length documentaries, including Myriam El Hajj’s A Time to Rest (Visions du Réel 2015) and Rana Eid’s Panoptic (Locarno Film Festival 2017). From 2016 to 2020, she was COO of Schortcut Films, dedicated to coproducing international features. In 2016, she co-founded the Beirut-based Maskoon Fantastic Film Festival, the first fantastic film festival in the Middle East.
